Father giving his son a hundred rupee note
Told him he could buy whatever he wished.
On way to school, a destitute on roadside
Begged the boy to give him money for food.
Boy gave note to beggar and went his way.
He had forgotten about it, till father asked:
‘What did you buy with the money I gave?”
The boy calmly said he lent it to a beggar.
Father said: “You won’t get it back now”.
Boy said that in school they were taught:
Giving to poor is same as giving to God.
Father was moved by son’s frank reply.
Father gave again a hundred rupee note
So, boy could buy something for himself.
“Father, I knew God will return the money”
Said boy “ but, I didn’t expect it so soon”
