TOURISTS’ PARADISE
kvakutty
Kerala is synonymous with tourism.
It caters to varied tastes of tourists.
A land painted with green all over.
Hills, valleys, woods, backwaters
Forests, beaches, and water fronts.
Nature at its best, changing colors
Like umbrellas in Pooram festival,
Like fanciful dress in competitions.
If you like monsoon season, rain,
Nonstop, will not disappoint you,
Ranging from a lazy, thin spray,
To torrential heavy downpours.
If you are after health tourism
State is a covetable destination,
With its Ayurvedic hospitals and
Number of private nursing homes.
You have hill stations, with resorts,
Sanctuaries, historical monuments,
Natural parks, wild life reserves,
Variety of classical dance forms.
Kerala offers to outside tourists
A unforgettable refreshing holiday.
Get a feel of “God’s own country”
This peerless “tourists’ paradise.”

A small correction in my earlier comment. <still one of the greener places in Kerala> should read <still one of the greener places in India>. Sorry about that.

Nice poem on the beauty and variety of Kerala. Sad that it is fast becoming a concrete jungle: paddy fields and old tharavads being converted to housing plots
. Despite that it is still one of the greener places in Kerala.
