QUESTION AND ANSWER humor

Bullying lawyer asked the witness:
Now sir,
Did you or did you not,
On the date in question or any other time,
Say to the defendant or any one else,
That the statement imputed to you
And denied by the plaintiff,
Was a matter of consequence or otherwise?
Say yes or no
Clear headed witness said:
You can also tell me, Sir
What you want me to tell you
For it won’t make any difference
To you or to me or anyone else,
Considering the many alternatives
To all of which you wanted
A single word answer
Either yes or no
Or three word answer “yes or no”.
My answer is either 'yes' or 'no',
Or, 'yes or no', as the case may be.

In German "Ja" (pronounced as ya) means yes and nein (pronounced like the number nine) means no. But in thier slang of daily speech they have concocted ja+nein= ja-ein which is used to mean yes and no !!
I thought that was cute and appropriate for this post of yours..........
