Judge was telling his court “A witness
Need not be regarded as untruthful, just
Because he altered a statement he had
Previously made. For instance, when
I entered the court today, I would have
Sworn, I had my watch in my pocket.
But I now remember that I had left it
On the bath room window sill at home.”
When judge got home in the evening his
Wife said “Why all this bother about the
Watch. Sending four or five men for it?”
Judge said “Good heavens. I never sent
Any one. Then what did you do?” She
Said “I gave it to the first one who came;
Why he even told me where it was kept.”
