Sri VS Gopal quoted an anecdote, which I am
sharing with other Sulekha friends,through this blog. )
The case was a complicated one.
The lawyer had worked overtime
To make an effective presentation
Before the unpredictable judge.
To his dismay within minutes of
His starting the arguments, lawyer
Noticed the judge was fast asleep.
Lawyer was upset and made all
Manner of noises. When at last
Judge woke up with a start, the
lawyer said ”Your honor, you are
not listening to me”. Judge then
Observed” As per the Statute,
I have to give you a hearing only.
I do not have to listen to you".
