Mr Tom and wife were seated on a sofa
In the front verandah of a luxury hotel.
Opposite them a little distance away
There was another sofa and a young
Couple walked down and settled on it.
The young man started talking to the
Girl passionately as though he was
About to propose to her. Mrs Tom
whispered into her husband’s ears:
“They don’t know we are sitting here.
Why don’t you whistle to warn them?”
Husband said “Why should I? No one
Whistled to warn me when I proposed”
